    This is EXACTLY why I prefer not to rely on “DR” Advice only …… the ‘serious backing’ of some of this information has been debunked about 6 years ago, with evidence suggesting that the info set up was specifically to make MONEY. Hoodia for example….. can ONLY work through mastication because of the very specific kind of digestive enzymes in the mouth. It does NOT reduce cravings. How it worked for the African San Hunters (and some still use it for this reason here where I live in sunny South Africa where Hoodia is indigenous) is that they would keep some twigs and leaves in a bag and chew it along their journey that would last days or weeks. The action of the plant on the body meant that they would sweat less and all hunger pangs would be abated. It was never swallowed, only chewed for hours on end like a gum. In a modern translation, and with science having put it to test, It does NOT have the same effect when being ingested. The best it can do is have a coincidental benefit while being used as ‘part of a calorie controlled diet” Anyway, Hoodie did nothing for the massive massive storage of fat in the San peoples behinds…… and that is just the first entry. People… Science is ONLY your friend if you take a proper scientific approach to all information and not only let the title of Dr give credence to the work. This sort of misinformation and public hysteria is the lead cause of over foraging our natural wild resources and all the bleeding hearts of first world country’s sending disastrous so called ‘aid’ our way to help the starving of Africa are doing more harm than good. WE NEED EDUCATION, AND WE NEED HELP IN THE FORM OF MORAL SUPPORT. We don’t need your mining companies contaminating our scarce water supply and pharmaceutical companies raping our land because you eat too many big macs and believe all sorts of rubbish you read. Anyway, good old replenish-able Ginseng works better for sugar cravings by making you more sensitive to insulin so that your blood sugar can become balanced. Perhaps try cutting out sugar and refined flours and stop using sugar replacements to try trick your brain. learn to taste what things actually taste like without the noise of sugar and salt in the background. the BEST thing you can do to loose weight is be honest with yourself. If you eat too much, you will get fat. If you eat the wrong foods, you will get fat. If you don’t exercise, you will get fat. If you add traditional culinary herbs to all your food, with real sea salt and fresh garlic and onions, instead of soup packets and stock cubes, You will loose weight – guaranteed!
