Playa Papaya Organic Eco-Health Retreat
Property Now Available
I would like to announce a pristine health resort in which I have visited many times and have purchased land. The owners have now released additional tracts for sale and I wanted to share this with you.
The founders of Playa Papaya Health Retreat decided to create a community of like-minded people at their health resort in Pedasi, Panama. Playa Papaya Health Resort is located on 125 acres directly on the Pacific Ocean with 1,600 feet of beautiful beach front. The intention of the Founders is to share their environmentally pristine area. Sharing means they have invited individuals who have a proven commitment to natural health to live there and enjoy the land and Ocean with each other.
Today several internationally renowned healers have homes on this area, or are in the process of building homes. In addition to those individuals who have done years of work in natural or alternative health practice, the Founders also invited individuals who have proven artistic skills. Thus, this community is a community of healers and artists in residence where people can live or visit in accord with nature.
The residents commit to live there without trying to dominate or control nature and with harmony and great respect to the land. Rules and restrictions that are in place, and which the new residents agree prior to purchasing a tract there, will continue the dedication to pure living for years into the future. The land was originally selected because one side of the property is on the Pacific, one side is on a nationally protected river and natural wet land area, and the other sides have no development at this time. Protective green screens will be planted as the need arises in the future to separate this land from outside influences.
The land was originally purchased over ten years ago to build and operate a school of natural healing. That purpose has been realized since more than 200 people have come there for training in the use of natural health tools and techniques. The Founders liked being on this land so much they sold their residences in New York and in Vienna, Austria, and moved full time to Panama.
Living there full time made it clear to the Founders that simply living at one of the most beautiful natural regions in the tropics was not enough for them to have the life they wanted. In addition to nearly perfect weather, tropic beauty, natural food grown by their workers and so much more the land offered, something else was demanded by the Founders who wished to live there for long periods of time. What was needed soon became obvious since one of the developers is a professional opera singer who firmly believes that people must have music and art in their lives in order to have a successful existence. Thus a theater, art museum and art school are in the plans for construction.
The other founder, a well known natural healer and educator of natural healing says that people are herd animals and must have friends or neighbors in order to have a fully successful existence. Together, the demands of art and communication demand more than a community. They demand a community of individuals who can live together based on their commitment to natural health practices. Natural health practice involves some organic agriculture, shared natural food production and shared healthful life practices. Just as importantly, such a community demands open healthy communication and cooperation with others.
The Founders specified certain parcels of land which will be shared and owned by the community. The commonly held area is two acres for a community center, an acre for a special separate place for spiritual practice like meditation or ceremony, one acre for a beach house, two acres for stables and common gardens, one forth acre with a well and water system, and about four acres for the roads and pathways serving the whole area. The community will elect a few of their wisest individuals to see that the commonly owned areas are used cooperatively, and to help diffuse any potential problems living close to others might involve.
The smallest tract available in this community is one acre, since that amount of land is big enough to grow more food than one family can eat, make privacy where needed, and live on healthy land without self created pollution. Larger tracts are also available. Some apartments are anticipated in the future. People who own apartments will not have the advantage of owning land in addition to the actual apartment they live in but they will have access to community garden areas. It will be advantageous in the future to consider innovative ways of teaching and schools for the youth that come to the community.
