I’ve used tea a lot of times. Brew twice as strong nas you would if you were going to drink it, NO suger. Chill in frig and us wash cloth dipped in tea, lightly wrung out. place on burn and redip as needed. Takes the fire right out of the burn and it seems to heal a lot quiker.

I’ve used Calendula Oil successfully for sunburns and other minor burns. It’s soothing and takes the discomfort away quickly.

By far the best remedy I have ever found for sunburn is Chickweed Salve. Several summers ago I helped a friend with a project in Lake Havasu AZ in July…major sun blast. When I left the shower later in the evening I realized my neck and face were burned to the point of pain. 5 minutes after I applied the Chickweed Salve the pain was reduced 95%. I continued to apply the salve over the next several days and experienced no more pain and I didn’t even peel. Amazing stuff..

By far my favorite is natural aloe.
When I was younger I had used a sunburn creme with chemical in it and it felt as if my skin was on fire.
From then on using natural remedies was common sense.

Recent studies have also shown apple polyphenols to have benefits in repairing skin and overall skin health.
Makes sense since they protect the skin as well.

Great post, I live in Thailand and the sun is a real problem. I never lie out in it but I play golf and it so easy to get burnt even when it does not appear sunny!
I have aloe vera plant in the garden which is put to use quite often! I also swear by coconut oil to keep my skin hydrated.
