My clothes feel stiff after using Soap Nuts. Is this normal?
No. Your clothes should feel soft and clean after using Soap Nuts. You're probably using too many Soap Nuts. Just wash them again in plain water to remove the excess saponin and they'll be as good as new.
My unused Soap Nuts are black and sticky. Are they still good?
Yes. Soap nuts naturally become black and sticky when exposed to prolonged moisture, but are still usable as long as they have some saponin left. That's why they're packed with silica gel. Try Storing them in a dry place after opening.
