Teen Nausea and Vomiting

Postby Firedad on Sun Jun 05, 2005 12:29 am

I posted this in the "ASk the Doctor" thread
Sorry - new to this forum

My 17 yo daughter has been vomiting for the past five weeks. At times she is nauseated but other times she just vomits. She vomits after eating and other times between meals. She is not dehydrated not is she loosing weight.
We have seen our family doctor who took blood work - all normal. We have see a GI doctor who took a CT of her abdomen and performed and edoscopy, all with negative results. Our latest exam was to have a MRI of her brain which came back negative.
No medicine has been able to stop this N/V not even zophran.
We have tried stomach meds for excess acid with no results.
Our daughter is a HS senior and does not seem to be under a great deal of stress. She has spoken on the phone to a psycologist who said she sounds normal - for a HS senior.
We don't know where to go from here. She has missed five weeks of school and don't know if we let this run its course or try some other mode of treatment. Herbal meds???
Any thoughts?

nausea and vomitting

Postby druv on Thu Oct 06, 2005 1:32 am

i had gone to a party a few days back and maybe I ate something stale . I came back home and i vomited a lot.. since then i have nausea too and I just dont feel like eating anything..
I do not know of any herbal remedies but we should have something to keep handy since I feel extremely drained and tired after all that..
