sweating

i would appreciate your advise ;my mother age 78..last few weeks having problems of excessive sweating of her scalp and forehead,sporadically and without any excess excursion,just lying in bed suddenly the sweat appears wetting the hair and forehead,no other area..any thoughts or advise you can give..many thanks!!

Hi Jay,

Since I don't know your Mother's health history it is almost impossible to give specific recommendations.

A few things that you might look at are: hormonal imbalance, slight fever breaking, atrial fibrillation (circulatory problems) and metabolic concerns including thyroid.

I would suggest that she go to a healthcare professional for blood work and then, if necessary a dermatologist.
