Hello,

I am taking the following supplements:

- B-Complex 100 (twice a day)
- Zinc 30 mg (2-3 times/day)
- Calcium Orotate
- Vegan DHA 330 mg (once/day)
- Liquid Glucosamine Complex (Synflex, 1/4 oz)
- Iron containin Multivitamin & Mineral
- Rice protein

I'd like to know what I should do to maximize absorption and minimize negative supplements interractions. I know, for instance, that I should avoid taking Iron with Calcium or Copper with Zinc because these would decrease the latter items' absoprtion. Is there any other good/bad interraction I should be aware of?

Mot of these should be taken according to the instructions on the label. Fat soluble supplements generally are tolerated better with a meal that contains some fat unless the label states otherwise. Depending on the specific brand, many vitamins and minerals are better tolerated with food as well. Unfortunately, it is difficult to make too many broad statements because much of this can depend on how the product is formulated. The Calcium Orotate is probably best taken at night on an empty stomach because it is alkaline and will dilute the stomach acid when taken with a meal. One of the best ways to increase your overall absorption is to keep your colon clean through a diet rich in raw foods and an oxygen-based colon cleanser like Oxy-Powder.
