Herbal products generally do not have side effects associated with them in the same sense that nearly all pharmaceutical products do. There are, however, often symptoms that someone will experience while performing a parasite cleanse. These are related to the “healing crisis” that can be sparked as a result of the die-off of parasites. The most common symptoms that people experience are fatigue, lack of mental clarity, headaches, minor rashes, joint and muscle aches, irritability, foul-smelling stools or urine, or other similar signs. These generally indicate that the parasites are releasing various toxins that must be metabolized and excreted from the body. Most practitioners view this type of response as positive since it is an indication that the parasites are being removed from the body. If the reaction becomes too intense, it is recommended to reduce the dosage until the response becomes more tolerable. Remember to drink at least ½ your body weight in ounces of purified or distilled water every day and to minimize the processed and fast foods in your diet. It is best to perform a colon cleanse and a liver/gallbladder flush prior to a parasite cleanse. A complete protocol can be found at www.ghchealth.com/liver-and-gallbladder-flush.html.

For most people, performing a parasite cleanse 2x yearly should be sufficient. Colon cleanses and liver/gallbladder flushes can be more frequently depending on the circumstances.
