Recurring Sores in Mouth

Postby Patricia Saliba on Thu May 26, 2005 3:36 pm

I have been on a "healthy" diet for years, and I brush my teeth w/hydrogen peroxide, baking soda & salt -- 2 times per day. Last summer I had a thermography scan which indicated "problem areas" in dental areas. I had full dental x-rays done + the "surround picture" [cannot remember proper term for this] -- both came out showing "nothing".

Still, I have recurring sores in my mouth. The brushing routine keeps it in check sometimes, but not all.

I have had a history of dysbiosis -- could the mouth sores be "thrush"? I don't understand thrush very well -- seems to be mouth problems related to having candida overgrowth.

Appreciate your ideas/answers. --Patricia, Age 58

Hi Patricia

Yes, the mouth sores could be Thrush. Oral thrush is an infection of yeast fungus, Candida albicans, in the mucous membranes of the mouth. Thrush presents as white, cream coloured, or yellow spots in the mouth. The spots are slightly raised. There is normally no pain in the area underneath the spots. If you scrape off these spots, they leave small wounds that bleed slightly. In adults, thrush can cause an uncomfortable burning sensation in the mouth and throat.

Those at risk are: newborn babies, denture users, adults with diabetes or other metabolic disturbance, people undergoing antibiotic or chemotherapy treatment, drug users. people with poor nutrition, people with an immune deficiency.

You may want to check with your healthcare provider to confirm whether it is indeed thrush or not.

If so treat naturally with Silver Fuzion™, Lactero Flora (orally and topically), Oregano Oil Rx (put a few drops in 4 ounces of water and swish in mouth--also take 6 drops in vegi-cap 3x daily), elimination of sugar, lots of filtered water. Some people have had success using organic coconut oil to help with candida. I would also suggest a total liver/gallbladder and digestive tract cleanse.
