Receding gums

My gums are receding and my periodontist claims I need costly plastic surgery to rebuild the gums. When I asked if my gums would ever grow back on their own, she said no its not possible.
I now switched to a soft toothbrush and brush after I eat with oramd oil. My gums stop hurting but they are not growing back either.
Another product I used was perioQ, but it always makes me gag.

Is there anyway I can make my gums grow back?

Ps- I'm allergic to silver so I cannot use your mouth spray.
