Pseudomembranous Colitis

Postby hbeachgrl on Thu Sep 28, 2006 12:31 pm

Although not yet diagnosed, there is a very high probability that I have pseudomembranous colitis. I would like to know if I happen to have this infection, what can I expect the results to be from starting the Oxy-Powder colon cleanse? Keeping in mind I have severe abdominal bloating and I need to know the expected result of using oxygen and if that might cause additional gas in addition the the gas I already have, which could be quite painful. Also, where can I go to get an exact list of ingredients in the oxy-powder colon cleanse? Are they all natural ingredients?

Thanks for your help.

Pseudomembranous colitis is generally caused by the bacterium Clostridium difficile, which is an anaerobic, spore-forming type of bacterium. It is often ingested in the spore-form and then becomes active as it reaches the intestines. Because it is considered an obligate anaerobe, meaning that it cannot grow in atmospheric oxygen, it is possible that taking Oxy-Powder may help to retard the growth. Please keep in mind that this has not been studied directly but is merely based on knowledge of the bacterium.

It is possible that the Oxy-Powder may create some intestinal gas as this is a normal part of the process by which the monatomic oxygen breaks down compacted fecal matter. If you do try the Oxy-Powder, it is probably best to start at a smaller dose than the bottle recommendation in order to see what, if any, type of reaction it provokes. 1-2 capsules initially is a reasonable dose, and then it can be increased as necessary. Because this problem is almost always associated with an imbalance in the intestinal flora, probiotics, good bacteria, such as Latero-flora, ought to be taken to insure that beneficial bacteria are re-introduced into the body. Other supplements that may be beneficial include Oxygenator, Silver Fuzion, and Organic Oil of Oregano. These can be taken on the same days but should be taken at separate times.

An exact listing of ingredients can be found on the following page: www.ghchealth.com/oxy-powder.php. The ingredients are all natural.
