Pain, Knumbness,Itching on Top of Hand-Possible Blood Clot??

Hello,
For the last 2months I have been experiencing Pain, Numbness, Itching on the top of my Left Hand. Ive never felt anything like it so its hard to explain. When I rub my finger over the top of my left hand, I can feel somethng pulling/ moving inside. Its a strange feeling. Ive been told by people that it could be a Blood Clot but im unsure. I have an appt with the Dr on thursday but just wanted your opinion and thoughts. Also are there any good sites I can go to that deal with Blood Clots in/on the hand??

Hi Tizz

Without looking at your hand it is difficult to say what might be going on. It could definitely be a blood clot or even a small cyst. Sometimes people have experienced live parasites right underneath the skin.

It is definitely a good idea to get this checked out. You can do an internet search about blood clots on the hand, but I don't specifically know of any sites to recommend other than PubMed or WebMD.

Hi,
Thanks for finally replying, I went to the Dr and she did an X-Ray of my left hand in diffrent positions and the X-Rays came back showing the cause of my Hand Pain, Itching etc as being Arthritis. Im not sure I agree with this.
Is it possible that all that im experiencing is Arthritis?? My Hand hurts all the time and is always numb and itches and still feels strange inside. Do you think I need a 2nd opinion or is there a specialty Dr I may need to see re: this issue?
What can you recommend?

As I said before, it is very difficult to comment about this without seeing the x-ray's and knowing your health history.

It is very possible that it could be arthritis. But, if you feel that this diagnosis is not correct then I would definitely suggest that you get a second opinion.

You might also want to let a good chiropractor take a look.
