Oxypowder and master cleanse

Postby Celona on Wed Sep 06, 2006 1:17 am

I finished a 10 day course of oxypowder two weeks ago. I know I still have a lot to get out and tomorrow will start a 10 day master cleanse. Is it ok to go back to using the oxpowder daily for the 10 days of the cleanse (I didn't do the maintenance dose)?
As the master cleanse includes cayenne pepper to help loosen impacted faeces will that be a help or a hindrance if done in conjunction with the oxypwder?
Thanks,
Celona

Celona,
First, let me say that I have spoken with many people that have successfully incorporated Oxy-Powder into the Master Cleanse, generally substituting it for the senna tea at night. I think that it is up to the individual regarding their dosage of sea salt the next morning; it will probably not be necessary in order to flush compacted fecal matter. However, there is the issue of the minerals that it may provide. Perhaps the best thing is to take a reduced dosage, but I think that this should be left up to individual response. Master Cleanse proponents state that you should receive a fair amount of minerals from the lemon juice and the organic, Grade B maple syrup as well.

Regarding performing the cleanses so close together, I don’t believe that this should present any type of problem. There are many people that take Oxy-Powder for 7-11 days straight initially and then continue on the maintenance every other day, sometimes for years. I am also not aware of any reason that cayenne should inhibit the action of Oxy-Powder; just be aware that you may experience a very warm sensation during your bowel movements, partly from toxins but also in part from the pepper.
