Oxy-Powder for Autistic Son

Postby Flavellinator on Wed Jul 19, 2006 11:11 am

Greetings,

I have a 60 lb. six year-old son. He initially was given a half capsule of Oxy-Powder per day and had a bowel movement each day for a week. He then was ill for a couple of days, and after he got better, we resumed the half capsule dosage. Unfortunately, he stopped having BMs and now only has one only once every three days, despite the half capsule of Oxy-Powder per day. How much can his dosage be increased, and how often should a boy his age be going? He is on a strict gluten-casein-soy free diet, and he has had instestinal issues since he was a baby. Any response would be greatly appreciated.

Although Oxy-Powder has never been tested on or marketed to children, many parents report success with children as small as 30 pounds. They have reported increasing the dosage by ½ capsule or so until bowel movements are achieved. It is always recommended to consult with a practitioner experienced in natural medicine when giving supplements to a child. Please be aware that there are other modalities which can be explored as well. I would suggest visiting first with a chiropractor. Spinal misalignment can have a profound effect on bowel movements and should be addressed. Replacement of beneficial bacteria in the colon using Latero-flora and other reputable probiotics can also be a key to a healthy, well-functioning bowel. There are some anecdotal reports that some people have had success in at least partial detoxification of vaccines. The Denali line of zeolite products can be a potent detoxifier, as can Glytamins suppositories, and use of a far-infrared sauna. The first two represent options that are relatively new in the marketplace and a child’s dose would need to be determined, and the third has been available for a while and is very beneficial in aiding in the detoxification of the body.
