Oxy Powder for a 5 year old is this safe?

Hi,

We have a client who has a son with ASD and he will be 5 on Xmas day, since birth he has been constipated and this lady thought Oxy Powder might help. She gave him 3 Oxy capsules on Friday and no bowel movement next day at all, she then gave him a further 5 capsules on Sunday (not Saturday) and still no bowl movements, she is going to give him another 6 capsules tonight, then 5 capsules every night after that if no bowel movement.

The mother is concerned if Oxy Powder is harmful to such a young person and if it will have any side affects to his brain.

Therefore I am asking if you could advise in this matter as the situation is quite urgent and see if we are able to help this young man.

...after speaking with you on the ASD 5 year old I went back to his mother with what we had spoken about and she is overwhelmed with the help and response and would like to thank you all for your support and help. Just to update you the boy has at last had a bowel movement.
