Oxy Powder Cleanse = Major Loss of Energy!!!

Postby TeresaRenee on Mon May 22, 2006 5:44 pm

I am on the 4th day of my 7-day initial cleanse. I take 6 pills a night as that is the amount that first gave me at least 4 BM's in a day. At first, I had so much nausea that I could barely eat and not much happened in the bathroom. Then I started eating again, and feel like now I'm always in the bathroom! Yesterday and the night before I had so many BM's that I lost track! I felt like I had to go the bathroom all the time! I've been drinking lemon water and eating fruits and veggies as well as some chicken here and there.

Anyway, now however, I am noticing a HUGE loss of energy. I was doing a lot of dance/aerobic excercise yesterday for some dance auditions I was involved with. So I worked out a lot more than normal in one day. And today I feel completely and totally drained! I have NO energy and could barely get out of bed. What's wrong with me? Am I overdoing it? Am I losing too many fluids at once?

Oh yeah I almost forgot to add that I started my period yesterday too and I tend to lose a heavy amount of blood the first couple of days. So I am starting to put 2 and 2 together and realizing that I'm losing A LOT of fluids within a few days. I'm really thristy all the time too no matter how much water I drink. Should I cut back on the the amount of pills I'm taking? All my BM's except the first one I had when I started the cleanse, have been VERY watery...is that normal?

Anyway, could all these factors explain why I'm so lethargic? I guess I thought I would have more energy after the cleansing started, but maybe not just yet.

The symptoms that you are experiencing may be the result of a healing crisis brought about by the Oxy-Powder. As oxygen is introduced into the colon, it can create a hostile environment for many types of bacteria, yeast (candida), and certain types of bacteria. When these die, they can release various toxins that can cause everything that you are describing. Common symptoms associated with a healing crisis are fatigue, headaches, nausea, muscle and joint aches, rashes, worsening of allergies, mental “fog.” and others. Generally, these should be short-lived and should pass by themselves. If you are exceeding 5 bowel movements, I would suggest decreasing the dosage by a capsule or two so that you stay within the 3-5 bowel movement range. Chances are that you have overtaxed your body and it now needs time to rest. Detoxification can drain the body’s energy stores and it is best to rest and give yourself a chance to heal. I would also recommend drinking at least ½ your body weight in ounces of water daily in order to support the body’s detox mechanisms. Fortunately, there has never been a reported case of dehydration while using Oxy-Powder. The liquid bowel movements are actually a direct result of the oxidation of compacted fecal matter and do not represent a major fluid loss for the body as do some laxatives. For further support, you can always call the manufacturer at 1-800-476-0016.
