I've been having a problem that no one has been able to help me with thus far and I'm getting pretty desperate for answers. I know that not everyone here may be doctors but perhaps someone, somewhere, has found a fix or atleast a name for this illness. It's very hard to describe but basicly I'll awake on certain mornings and taste a horrible rotten taste. Normally this was only certain days when I woke up but now it's striking me at random times during the day (Which for years it has never done.). I'll keep belching and tasting the rotten taste and the smell, as people would describe, would smell like a dead carcass mixed with the smell of rotten eggs.

Followed by these burps would be severe abdominal pain and eventually vomiting. The pain would also spread into my back.. which I find unusual and even puzzles the doctors. The rotten taste and vomiting will continue until every bit of stomach acid is out of my body. I'll even get painful dry heaves for awhile until every drop is gone. From there I'll normally go to sleep or feel completely fine for the rest of the day. But this problem has got to stop! I can't stand it and it's horrible! Sometimes I even get scared that I'm dying. If anyone has an explanation or theory please tell me. I'll send it to my doctors etc. I don't expect a miracle cure. I don't expect an answer. I'm just hoping someone somewhere in this world knows what it might be. Thank you for your time. By the way, I live in Hubert North Carolina. Again, thank you for your time.

Unfortunately, the search for answers does not always yield a specific name and a specific set of instructions. Despite this, there are many things that you can do to help maintain the health of the digestive tract. A great place to start is with a cleanse or series of cleanses. Obviously, because this problem appears to originate in the colon, that is a good place to start. Additionally, you can also perform a liver/gallbladder flush and a parasite cleanse as well. Keep in mind, these are not specific for any conditions but are beneficial in returning the body to a state of health. Directions and details for these procedures can be found at www.ghchealth.com/liver-and-gallbladder-flush.html. Aside from this suggestion, it may be beneficial to incorporate a probiotic, good bacteria, such as Latero-Flora and an enzyme product such as Zymitol. The probiotic can help to restore the balance of bacteria that are necessary for your digestive tract to function properly. Part of the work of these types of bacteria is to produce substances that help to control the overgrowth of other bacteria and parasites. The enzymes are used to digest food more completely and can also help to break down undigested material in the digestive tract to avoid putrefaction. Enzymes can be taken with food in order to aid in the digestion of that meal. Lastly, Oxygenator can be very beneficial in order to provide oxygen species for the body and act as an immune stimulant and anti-oxidant. It can also be very useful in helping the body to combat various types of negative bacteria that can cause digestive problems.

There are probably many other nutrients that could be beneficial, especially basic vitamins and minerals that your body requires to perform many vital functions. It is also important to pay attention to the foods that you eat and to your liquid intake. Natural, unprocessed, and organic foods are best. These contain the nutrients and enzymes that are required to break them down and don’t have many of the additives and chemicals that processed foods may contain. Pay attention to how you feel after eating certain foods and avoid the ones that you believe may provoke a reaction. Pay special attention to grains including wheat; many people have sensitivities to certain protein complexes that are found in these. Be sure to drink plenty of purified or distilled water; a good recommendation is at least ½ your body weight in ounces per day. For instance, if you weigh 150 lbs., you would drink at least 75 ounces per day. It would be advisable to try and work with a local physician such as a chiropractor or naturopath that can evaluate your progress and help you to make the appropriate decisions in your situation.
