Natural Help For Pain

Postby Health Dr. 2 on Sat Feb 19, 2005 10:39 pm

Hi Don,

Good question and one that is being asked by thousands of people since Big Pharma's problems with its recommended pain meds.

What Is the Best Remedy for Pain?

Before you take NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), such as Advil, Motrin, Vioxx, Celebrex, consider the following:

NSAIDs cause 103,000 hospitalizations per year,
Every year, 16,500 arthritis patients DIE from NSAID-related gastrointestinal damage alone
21% of all adverse drug reactions, such as bleeding, kidney and liver damage, are due to NSAID use
People over 60 have a significantly higher probability of experiencing complications associated with NSAID use

Despite these facts, there are still 13 million regular users of NSAIDS in the U.S., with at least 30 billion over-the-counter NSAID tablets sold annually.

Is Tylenol safer?

This depends on a lot of individual factors. What medications is the patient taking? Is he or she drinking alcohol? Is he or she exposed to other liver toxins, like walking barefoot on the lawn after the pest control person has just sprayed? Tylenol (acetaminophen) can be dangerous and it can cause liver damage and death. It's not to be thought of lightly for any little ache or pain.

There are natural remedies for pain and inflammation that are safe and effective. Be sure to check with your doctor before taking any of these.

Here are a few:

Proteolytic Enzymes (like Zymitol & Serralone) are very effective for many kinds of pain and inflammation. Usual dose is 5-10 tablets on an empty stomach 3 times a day. See your healthcare provider for dosages.
EPA/DHA fish oil capsules. Take from 1-3 of the one gram capsules every 6 hours.
DMSO/Aloe roll on. This topical treatment is very effective for many types of pain.
    Traumeel Homeopathic Tablets as directed.
    Boswellia an anti-inflammatory healing herb.
    MSM, 1-3 grams 4x a day. (see our Opti-MSM)
NutraCool™ - Developed by Dr. Group and the best all-natural topical pain reliever available on the market today.
Make sure you are on a healthy diet. Eliminate sugar.
Drink half your body weight in ounces of pure, clean water every day.

Next time you are suffering, try one or a combination of these remedies. It could save you from making something already uncomfortable even worse.

DMSO question

Postby Angie on Wed Feb 23, 2005 8:22 am

Hi Dr. - I am very interested in DMSO, but I've been concerned about something. I deal with allergies, and it's my understanding that whatever is on the skin when you use DMSO will be taken into the blood stream.

Also I have an ozone machine and I believe that you can combine the ozone and DMSO. Do you know about this, and how would I do this if so?

Thanks!
Angie

Hi Angie,

Many people do use DMSO internally and externally. I would guess that your concern about allergies concerns the woman in Ireland that was supposedly allergic to DMSO and died. There is a huge possibility that the cause of death was actually determined by the press and not by doctors. Since then there have been no reported problems with DMSO. You may want to read Politics In Healing by Dan Haley (we carry this in our books section) as he has a whole chapter devoted to DMSO. Plus you will get a great education about what has happend in our medical system and the politics involved. A must read, in my opinion.

Yes, I do know a lot about using DMSO with ozone. Our clinical experience has shown that ozonating 6-8 ounces of cold distilled water with 10-16 drops of DMSO and then slamming it down can be effective. Hold your breath and close your eyes while you are drinking. You can do this 3-6 times daily. Check out the ozone generator that we offer at the GHC products page.

You can also take DMSO in orange juice.

I would suggest that you talk this over with your healthcare provider.

One other thing I would suggest for pain that I did not suggest in my last post and that is Oregano Oil-RX. Take a look at our product page. Many people have reported that Oregano Oil has given them relief equal to that of morphine.

I've heard that DMSO causes a person to smell like garlic.

How long does this smell last after applying dmso? An hour or two? 24 hours? A week?

Need to know.

Thank you.

Yes, you will have a "certain" smell about you. :)

How long it lasts will depend on how much you use and if you use it everyday and also your body chemistry. Unfortunately there is no table to let you know if you use x amount you will smell for x hours or days.

Some people are very sensitive to the smell and some will not smell it on you at all. It seems that men seem to be more sensitive to the smell.

You will need to experiment to see how it works with your body chemistry.
