My father has severe constipation

I need your help please. I take care of my 85 year old father who lives with me.

He has severe constipation and digestive problems and suffers constantly of either constipation or diarrhea. Sometimes he will not have a bowel movement for one or two days until I insert a suppository. Then he will have small bowel movements, anywhere from 3 to 10 bowel movements a day. It is so hard because his stool is really sticky, like gummy and I cannot clean him with paper, unless I wash him with soap and water. I use liquid soap and a spray bottle when he is sitting on the toilette to do this. His stool and urine are very strong and stinks really bad. In order to have bowel movements I have to make him drink a lot of water.

Last December he was constipated and he took some laxative, maybe too much, I am not sure. After that he started having severe diarrhea. It would stop for a week and then it would start again. They did all kinds of test and finally found a big ball hard like cement that was blocking the intestines. They gave him more laxative to get rid of it. And after that he got a little better. He lost 45 pounds and became so weak he almost died and was in a rehabilitation hospital for three weeks where he had intensive physical therapy. Right now he is living with me in Nevada. He still is under weight and in poor health.

I am afraid to use colon cleanses for fear that it might be too strong for him and start the diarrhea again. I was told it could be the flora that was washed or bad absorption.

Can you please help me and tell me what could help.

Hi Grace

I would suggest that you try him on a maintenance dosage of Oxy-Powder using just enough to give him at least 2 bowel movements daily. You will need to experiment in order to accomplish this. Begin with 2 Oxy-Powder every other evening and continue until you are seeing 2 bowel movements daily. I would also suggest that you get him on Latero-Flora immediately along with Zymitol. Do make sure that he is drinking lots of water. You can add lemon or lime along with a healthy sweetener like agave nectar to make a healthy lemonaid drink.
