mucoid plaque AND CANDIDA

Would I be right in saying that the only reason that we get candida is of the acidic conditions of mucoid plaque and its best to get rid of mp so candida cant live there. That makes sense to me, i couldnt imagine candida living in a healthy colon????

The primary reasons for the overgrowth of candida fungus is a little more complicated than this. For most of us the biggest offender is the repeated exposure to antibiotics; this can be either in the form of medicine that is taken intentionally or in as a contaminant in our food supply, mainly as a result of the large amount that is given to most livestock. Stress and high-sugar diets also contribute to the problem of overgrowth as do a number of other common medications, including birth control pills, estrogens, and steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

In reality, most of these result in an imbalance in the beneficial bacteria in the gut. The toxins that are trapped or produced as a result of fecal compaction can be acidic and could result in further imbalance in the intestines. In a healthy colon that contains a sufficient amount of friendly flora, it is much less likely that candida will become a health issue. Colon cleansing may be one of the missing components of many anti-candida programs.
