Liver and Weight Gain

Postby mgibson on Wed Feb 16, 2005 1:01 pm

In the normal course of my physical, my blood work indicated the liver functions to be high. I then underwent a liver scan. Scan results reflected a fatty liver and gallstones.

Over the past year and half I have also experienced a tremendous weight gain in excess of 70 lbs.

Any connection with possible liver and/or gallstones problems to the weight gain?

Thanks!

Liver and Weight Gain

Hi

Fatty Liver can be caused by excessive weight gain. It can also be brought on with as little as 10 ounces consumption of alcohol per week. Usually a good healthy weight loss problem will alleviate the fatty liver. Be careful not to lose weight too fast as this has been associated with progession of the disease. A healthy weight loss would be no more than 2-3 pounds per week.

I would suggest that you do a liver/gallbladder/digestive tract cleanse which you can find at: http://www.ghchealth.com/liver-and-gall ... flush.html

For a healthy weight loss program check out our e-book Conquering Weight Loss Using Natural Methods. Not only will you lose weight in a healthy manner (no fad diets) but you will also help your body to get healthy.

Good Luck!
