There are many possible causes for itching, and it may be advisable to visit with a naturopath or chiropractor in your area for a complete evaluation. A detailed questionnaire and examination would likely yield some clues as to why you experience this problem. However, there are probably many steps that you can take in the meantime in order to improve your situation. They include the following:
• Perform a complete body cleanse beginning with the colon, liver/gallbladder, and, of course, for parasites. A good protocol can be located at
www.ghchealth.com/liver-and-gallbladder-flush.html. The process takes approximately 2 months if you follow this process, but you can continue to cleanse the colon at a maintenance dose, every other day, indefinitely. Most natural medicine practitioners feel that we should have at 2-3 bowel movements per day for optimum health. Please be aware that your colon could be very toxic and that you may have parasites. It is possible that you may experience a “healing crisis” that could include fatigue, lack of mental clarity, joint or muscle aches, difficulty sleeping, headaches, or other flu-like symptoms. These are generally temporary and last only while you are detoxifying.
• Evaluate your diet. Ideally, your diet should be one that is rich in raw, organic fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, and high-quality meats. These should be emphasized over processed foods, especially those that are high in sugar, processed flour, and additives. Processed foods are difficult to digest and can actually rob the body of nutrients in the process. These types of foods also promote the overgrowth of yeast in the digestive tract, which could aggravate the problems that you already have.
• Drink water. It is very important to stay hydrated and especially so while trying to expel toxins from the body. Try to drink at least ½ your body weight in ounces of purified or distilled water per day. Try to avoid high-sugar drinks such as sodas, commercial juices, and powder mixes.
• Sweat. If you have access to a far-infrared sauna, this can help you to eliminate many toxins, including some heavy metals, through your skin. Exercise including using a mini-trampoline, walking, biking, Pilates, yoga, Tai Chi, and many others can also help in this area.
• Take enzymes. An enzyme product such as Zymitol can help to improve your digestion if taken with a meal. If taken on an empty stomach, you can absorb some of these, and they can help to control overall inflammatory response in the body and bolster the immune system.
• Supplement to cover your nutritional bases. I would suggest Intramax and Quantum Greens or E3 Live in order to provide high-quality, easily assimilated nutrients to fill in the gaps in your diet. Every function of the body is influenced by the presence or lack of vitamins and minerals.
• Check your hygiene and personal products. It is possible that some of the chemicals or a combination of them in your soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, or other product is causing itching of the skin and scalp. If they are not the cause, they can aggravate it. Try to avoid products that contain synthetics; instead, shop at stores that offer natural alternatives to these toxic products. I would also suggest a shower filter that removes chlorine from your water. Daily exposure can cause dry and itchy skin. Wellness filter produces a very good filter that actually enhances the water that you use,

• Try O2-Zap. This is an ozonated olive oil that is useful for a number of skin conditions. It may help to soothe the nerves and provide some relief.
Please understand that this represents a place to start to regain your health. It is very difficult to do all of it, especially at once. Try to incorporate as much as you reasonably can and, as you see improvement, you will be encouraged to try more.
