Fibromyalgia Can Be Conquered

Fibromyalgia Can Be Conquered

Fibromyalgia is characterized by chronic muscle and tissue tenderness typically affecting certain trigger points. One theory is that this may be due to impaired muscle cell repair and regeneration.

One of the necessary glyconutrients, mannose, functions to promote wound healing and tissue repair. Also, glycoconjugate sugar residues form an essential part of the cellular receptors to which many hormones bind in order to produce their biological effects.

Another possible cause of Fibromyalgia is an imbalance of neurotransmitters. Glyconutrients greatly impact the way brain chemicals are produced and used. In fact, tests have found that when necessary sugars are taken away from certain brain chemicals, their uptake by surrounding cells is decreased.

Fibromyalgia may also be linked to a hidden virus - a fact that may signal weakened immune function. If so, the fact that glyconutrients have demonstrated impressive anti-viral action would explain their benefit.

In a study published in the January 1998 issue of Integrative Physiological and Behavioral Science, a group of test subjects with fibromyalgia who consumed a nutritional supplement containing glyconutrients and other natural compounds reported significant improvement in their symptoms.

Considerable scientific evidence also suggests that FM is related to immune system dysfunction, based on measurements of various immune markers in patients with the disorder. Although this does not imply causality, it supports the hypothesis that the immune system is a pathogenetic mechanism for Fibromyalgia.

Since one of the most important biological activities of glyconutrients is immune system modulation, any role that the immune system might play in Fibromyalgia would logically be influenced by these particular nutritional elements. In this regard, mannose stimulates the migration of macrophages, immune system cells that orchestrate the release of various bioactive substances that modulate the immune response and tissue inflammation. Acemannan, an acetylated mannose polysaccharide, also enhances killing of Candida albicans by macrophages.

A host of other immune-modulating effects are part of the activities of glycoconjugate sugars. For example, mannose-containing glycopeptides can also directly inhibit antigen-driven T-cell responses. Galactose-containing glycoproteins induce prostaglandin synthesis and directly stimulate IL-1, which are involved in regulating mammalian inflammatory responses.

In a number of cases, FM is accompanied by sometimes severe arthritis. This condition is clearly one of miscommunication between the immune system and cells of the joints, which glyconutrients play a vital role in.

Regardless of the precise mechanism(s) of pathogenesis for Fibromyalgia, it should be clear from this review that the immune (eg. cytokines, lymphocytes, virus infection), endocrine (eg. hormones), nervous (eg. neurotransmitters, sleep pathways, psychological stress) and muscular (eg. tender points, cardiovascular deconditioning) systems of the body are all intimately involved in Fibromyalgia. It should also be apparent that the necessary glyconutrients all play important roles in maintaining the health and normal functioning of these systems.

Are Glyconutrients Just Another "Fad" Supplement?

Four Nobel Prizes in Medicine have been awarded for the discovery that Glyconutrients are responsible for cell-to-cell communication. There is no other supplement technology that has won the TOP award Science has to offer. Nobel Prizes.

The textbook used by all top Medical Schools in the U.S. was rewritten in 1996 to include an entire chapter on the EXTREME importance of glyconutrients. The author of this chapter, Dr. Robert Murray, was so impressed with glyconutrient technology, he is now on our travelling around the country educating other Doctors. Harper's Biochemistry.

One of the top 10 MD's in the U.S (named by Time Magazine and CNN)., Dr. Ben Carson, chief of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins, is the 1st Doctor to successfully separate siamese twins.

Dr. Carson developed an aggressive case of prostate cancer a year ago. He did the research on Glyconutrients, was shocked at the amount of Science behind these products and started taking them.

Almost immediately Dr. Carson saw an abatement in his condition (before any conventional medical treatment).

Today, Dr. Carson travels around the U.S. saying that "glyconutrients helped save his life and should become a complementary component of our healthcare system". The Healing of a Healer.

Please... if someone you care about is suffering from Fibromyalgia or another chronic health condition, let them know there is REAL hope, that hundreds of others with their condition have benefitted dramatically through glyconutrient supplementation.

Glyconutrients that aren't

Do they work? I have seen many people benefit from these supplements. So my opinion is Yes.

Do they work the way your post says they are? NO.

The polysaccharides in this supplement have been well documented to be non-digestible in the intestine, and are fermented virtually 100% in the colon by microorganisms into short-chain fatty acids. Hence, since this supplement doesn't actually contain monosaccharides (except glucosamine and glucose from rice starch) they cannot be absorbed by the body, or used (since they never get in.) So the research on Mannose has nothing to do with the acemannan in this product, because mannose cannot be absorbed from this beta-linked chain of mannose sugars.

Can it stimulate various receptors that effect the immune system within the intestine? (2/3 of your immune system surround the digestive tract) Quite possibly. Could the benefits be secondary to the effects of these substances on the intestines directly, improving digestion, increasing integrity of the intestinal mucosa, increasing production of lactobacillus and bifidus, etc. Possibly, there is research that actually shows this. Could many of the beneficial effects be secondary to the increase in short-chain fatty acids -acetate, propionate, butyrate? Very likely they have an effect and there is a lot of research showing how they can effect the immune system, cardiovascular system, blood glucose and lipid regulation, etc.

However, there is no study showing that any sugar can be absorbed from these polysaccharides (arabinogalactan, acemannan, gum tragacanth, gum ghatti), so the research on the individual sugars has no correlation with taking this substance.

If I show you research on zinc lozenges and impress you with the benefits on the common cold, but then I give you vitamin C, you will still have a shortened cold with decreased symptoms, but the research I showed you has nothing to do with why vitamin C can effect cold symptoms.

Right supplement, unsupportable mechanism.

Fibromyalgia is normally easy to relieve the patient who has it. By body and nerve manipulation, you can have your pain relieved by 75% and more.

Fibromyalgia are an amount of nerves which are dislocated and / or pinched in your back and any other areas which the pain is in. Those nerves need to be resetted and if you can find a special massage therapist as I am, he or she will be able to help you out.

Good Luck
