We do not have a specific brand of mini-tramp that we recommend. We do suggest one that is made of sturdy materials so that it will be more stable and durable. Regarding the other exercises, following is a list of several from which you can choose:
• Bike ride
• Treadmill- Brisk walk. Running is too hard on the joints
• Tony Little’s Gazelle
• Water Aerobics
• Swimming
• Brisk walking- preferably in morning or evening
• Boxing or martial arts
• Jump rope- light to moderate speed
• Canoeing or rowing
• Hiking
• Pilates
• Yoga

The water aerobics may be a good choice for someone that is very weak. Try to pick one that is enjoyable so that it will be easier to maintain it. It is advisable to warm-up for 5 minutes, exercise for 20-45 minutes, cool-down for 5 minutes, and then stretch for 5-10 minutes. Of course, for someone that is very weak, this can be modified as appropriate. Also, we always recommend that you consult with your physician before starting an exercise program if you have been sedentary or in poor health.
