Postby latin on Sun Nov 12, 2006 10:37 pm

Is it ok to eat tomato when fighting candida?? Also what part of the digestive system is it most likely to live??

When candida eats it produces alcohol....but when it is dying does it produce alcohol then also??

Thanks

Many candida diets do allow for tomatoes to be eaten. Keep in mind, however, that tomato paste can be somewhat sweet and that ketchup is sugar-laden. Candida typically begins in the lower portion of the digestive tract, the large intestine. It can grow up into the small intestine and further up the digestive tract if there is an overgrowth.

Candida can produce alcohol, generally in response to the consumption of sugar and other carbohydrates. The yeast could continue to produce alcohol even while following an anti-candida protocol if these types of foods are eaten. The entire organism does not die immediately; it can often take a fairly long period of time, depending on the protocol used, the severity of the growth, the diet, and any other complicating factors.
