Candida Question

Postby 284dan on Wed Nov 22, 2006 11:17 pm

If one has Candida would consuming a tablespoon or two of apple cider vinegar set off symptoms? If so, would having a bowel movement (after an enema) cause the symptoms to subside?

Although there is some debate regarding fermented foods and candida, most people do not have problems with a small portion of raw, unpasteurized apple cider vinegar. Processed vinegars and some fermented foods may cause problems for some individuals. I am not sure to which symptoms you are referring, but a bowel movement post-enema could potentially temporarily relieve some bloating or similar symptoms for some people. Bowel cleansing in itself, whether through enemas or through oxygen-based colon cleansers, can be beneficial in creating or maintaining a healthy intestinal environment that is less prone to yeast overgrowth. Also, consider a quality probiotic like Latero-Flora to help replace and restore any good bacteria that may be lost due to enemas.
