India in the Asian Continent has a very rare and special geographic condition. The main cause of the rich and valuable vegetation that grows all over the Indian Nation, is due to the number of rivers flowing, the mountain ranges like Himalaya, The Sahyadri, The Aravalli, The Western ghats etc. The add more to that, the nation being surrounded by sea from three sides from east , west and south. It has a barrier from the north by the huge and tall Himalayan mountain range. All the factors make India a nation with rich soil, rich vegetation and natural resources.

India, was always invaded from history past, by King Alexander, by the Portuguese, the Moghul invaders, the Dutch invaders, the French , the Britishers, ... etc continously. It is surprising, despite the constant attaacks from coastal borders, also from north, India is still self sufficient with its natural resources. This fact, simply emphasises the immense wealth and resources, we might have had before the foreign invasions.

But due to the ignorance and un-awareness of the rich value of those medicinal, herbal and aromatic plants, the economical advancement of our nation was blocked . Now that greater pains are being taken to bring awareness amongst the citizens, India has become number two in agricultural produce. And no soon, we would be also reaching the top in exports of herbal, ayurvedic and aromatic plants/oils/extracts.
