What is a Toxic Colon?

A healthy colon is efficient in expelling the byproducts of the food we digest. Toxins pollute every thing the body needs to live, air, water, food, which means the body is poisoned continually and on all fronts. It all makes its way to the colon at some point since the colon is the body's conduit for expelling all waste materials.

When the colon doesn't function properly the waste is not expelled from the body in a timely manner. Several things can happen in a body with an unhealthy colon.

  • Other toxic pollutants enter the body and become trapped in a clogged colon, thus intensifying the toxicity.
  • The clogged matter can putrefy and sometimes it becomes compacted and forms a hard coating on the lining of the intestinal wall, decreasing the size of the passageway, and making waste transaction difficult at best.
  • And worse still, the lining of the intestine can develop holes which allow toxins back in the bloodstream where they can travel to organs throughout the body and devastate your health.

All the fecal matter impacted within the colon for too long, (consider 2 to 3 daily, bowel movements optimal and 1 per week too long), can become poisonous to the body, thus making the colon toxic.
